みちのくプチ巡礼情報

Miyagi Pref. // 宮城県

• 仙台三十三観音‥‥ 33 Kannons of Sendai, established in 17th century // 17世紀末、宮城で最も早く定着した観音札所の一つらしいです。巡礼は約50km。
• 宮城三十三番札所‥‥33 Kannons of Miyagi District. // 安永年間(1780年代)にはすでにあったことは確実。仙台から多賀城にかけての地域が中心。
• 伊具郡 三十三観音[Map:黄]‥‥ 33 Kannons of Igu District. Established in abount 1900(?) / 起源がハッキリしないようなんですけど、明治期後半に制定されたようです(吉岡(1992)『宮城の観音信仰』, p.64)。札所の配置がバラバラなのが特徴(?) [*1]
• 柴田郡 三十三観音 [Map:赤] ‥‥ 33 Kannons of Shibata District. Established in 1930s / 昭和に入ってからの制定でしょうね [参照]
• 刈田郡 三十三観音 [Map:青] ‥‥ 33 Kannons of Karita District, including Shiraishi City. Established in 1930s / 1934(昭和9)年造らしいです。「新西国霊場刈田三十三番札所」
• 奥州三十三観音[Map]‥‥ 33 Kannons of Oshu Province. Although most temples are picked out from the fief of the Date clan in Edo period, the temples in Sendai, the castle town, are excluded. Established in 12th (legendary) or 18th century / 「奥州」を名乗ってますが、江戸時代の伊達藩エリア中心ですね。仙台盛岡ナシかよ!とか、登米一関栗原のへんに集中しすぎでね?とか、31〜33番札所が盛岡をすっとばしてそれよりもっと北かよ!というのが気にはなりますが‥ (仙台にないのは「仙台三十三」との重複を避けたんではないかとの疑惑が‥)
